Jim and Gloria Holsen have bought and sold real estate throughout the world for decades. They know a good realtor. Debbi and Marty McDermott are tremendously talented and experienced individual realtors in Naples, but as a team, they’re unsurpassable, say the couple who have used the McDermotts to handle nearly a dozen of their real estate transactions in Naples, Fla.

“It’s not an accident that we use Marty and Debbi. We know what to expect and we know good realtors when we see them,” said Jim Holsen, from his Naples, Fla. living room.

Debbi and Marty McDermott of Premier Sotheby’s have been working in the Naples area real estate market for decades.

“They have unbelievable market knowledge,” said Jim Holsen. “Marty knows everything on the market, what it’s listed for and what it sells for. He knows a good asking price and what it will sell at. He gets a lot of calls from other brokers looking for advice. When you’ve got other brokers using you as a touch stone, that says something.”

It’s not just knowledge– they’re actually fun to watch in action, said Jim and his wife Gloria.

“The two of them work hand and glove,” said Jim Holsen.

“Yes. The whole day long. It’s a dynamic thing. We’ve never seen a team work together like them,” said Gloria Holsen.

Though they may have their different strengths, their level of communication makes it seem like whomever of the two McDermotts is talking to you, you’ve got the power of them both, the Holsens say.

“They’re almost interchangeable. If Debbi takes you around to look at properties, Marty will know exactly what happened,” said Jim.

Robert Hitchcock Endorses Marty and Debbi McDermott as Naples Realtors

The McDermotts offer ‘everything you can possibly need’

Robert Hitchcock and his wife moved to Naples in 1994 and while buying their first condominium in Southwest Florida found themselves on the other side of the table from the seller’s Realtors.

Although Marty and Debbi McDermott handled the sale for the seller that day, they came to represent the Hitchcocks in future transactions. It wasn’t long before they called themselves “good friends.”

After three decades living in Connecticut, Dr. Art and Ellen Seigel made the move to Naples. From their Realtor in Connecticut, the Seigels found themselves talking to the McDermotts. It also comes down to the important small touches, such as being able to get a referral for service on their home. With their experience in Naples, the McDermotts have extensive knowledge of who can best service the needs. At the end of the day, Mrs. Seigel summarizes, “There are many, many Realtors in Naples …”
